Welcome to my small spot of this vast internet. I am here because my God made me, but as for my specific reason for inhabiting this spot on the internet, well this answer will require more sentences!
- I need a space where I know I have the right to inhabit it. A place where I won’t be told I am too slow and so I should allow someone else in, a place where I won’t feel like I need to apologize for existing or daring to continue to breathe.
- I know I am not alone in feeling this way about existing in this country, especially one that is still fine with treating difference as something unacceptable, wrong broken and evil. I hope that I can turn this into a spot where all feel safe (as safe as the internet can be), respected, and most of all that they are made in the image of God and therefore are loved by Him.
- I have learned there is so much that many people don’t know about our history. These same people have no idea the experiences we face today. I want to teach fact about both.
- I am a complete Nerd and I LOVE to do research. I also love telling stories. But, I want to know when I am wrong. If I have put something up here as fact or history and it is neither; call me out. Truth is what matters and what truly opens minds and hearts.
- I would also love to collect stories from others. I want to hace a collage of our collective realities.
- I love books! I am waiting for thwy day when my husband and I can own a home where I can have a library, filled with read and un read books. For now most of my library is mostly ditgital–but I still have books pilled in cabinets, on closet shelves, under my night stand and on multiple flat surfaces throughout our apartment.
- My reads are rather eclectic, I would like to start keeping better track of my reads but also llet people know what is out there and why I think things are worth reading, or not so much
